About David Schwab

David SchwabDavid has over 25 years experience providing psychotherapy and working in human services. He was first introduced to meditation when he began to study the martial arts in 1971 when he was eighteen years old. As a social worker and therapist his years of experience working in an inner city settlement house, then with children and families in the foster care system, and in a community based outpatient mental health clinic convinced him that the mind/body/spirit is our greatest resource for healing, growth and change.

In 1996, David completed a 7-day training for professionals in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, led by renowned expert Jon Kabat Zinn. Since then David has been integrating Mindfulness into his psychotherapy practice and he began making guided imagery and meditation recordings for the people he works with. People responded so well to his recordings that he now makes them available to anyone who wishes to tap into the power of their own mind/body connection.

David was born and raised in Rochester, New York where he still lives with his wife Marianna, daughter Sarah, and son Tyler, and the family's two four legged members: Chloe and Lexie. David works in Private Practice with his wife and three other therapist friends. He loves to play mindful golf, paddle and fish from his canoe, read, and cook delicious Italian food with his wife to share with family and friends.
